Warm greetings!
.
The purpose of the Into Integrity FAST is to call attention to--and confront--the lack of disclosures by specific organizations/leaders/people affected by the international Nordic Capital Investment KB fraud (NCI) as well as the related dismissals that Michele (my wife) and I have received. I am FAsting for genuine contrition and STriking for resolute action within the Church Mission Community (CMC).

We are doing FAST in the spirit of the consecrated fast and repentance called for by the prophet Joel (Joel 1:14).  And are doing it in line with the concerns and requests in the Shine the Light-Together petition and by its signatories.

This is a 40 day FAST divided into two 20-day periods:
--Period  1: 6 June--26 June 2019, towards the start of Global Integrity Day
(9 June, our suggested annual day)
--Period 2: 6 December-26 December 2019, towards the start of International Anti-Corruption Day (9  December, United Nations)

We did seven podcasts and seven blogposts (see summaries below):

What’s next? Track with Into Integrity and the PETRA People Network
We plan to do more Into Integrity podcasts-blogposts in 2020, with updates, resources, and prayer. And also to continue to post updates and resources on the PETRA People Network weblog. Stay tuned! Pod-Post 8--FAST Day 21/40
Unfinished Business--Who has the integrity to help?
This podcast ushers in Part Two of the Into Integrity FAST (6-26 December 2019). In it we a) review the purpose of FAST and b) list specific people and organizations who we believe have an important responsibility to reconsider how they have dealt with the NCI fraud and the related wrongful dismissals. --We plan to do seven podcasts and weblog postings during PART Two. You can see the companion postings on the Into Integrity weblog.
.
--One of the featured quotes: “Corruption begets more corruption and fosters a corrosive culture of impunity.” Every year $1 trillion is paid in bribes while an estimated $2.6 trillion are stolen annually through corruption – a sum equivalent to more than 5 per cent of the global GDP…. “I call on leaders everywhere to listen, to nurture a culture of integrity and to empower citizens to do their part at the grass roots.” (quotes from UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and International Anti-corruption Day)
.

--Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and support.
Please spread the word.

FAST Day 24/40
International Anti-Corruption Day--Today! Asking YWAM Again for Disclosures
This is the second podcast in Part Two of the Into Integrity FAST (6-26 December 2019). In it Michele shares excerpts from three core materials to overview why it is important for YWAM and its leaders toassist by transparently and verifiably disclosing how they have been affected by the Nordic Capital Investment KB fraud (NCI),” as requested since 2012 by the Shine-the Light-Together petition and its signatories. --How has YWAM dealt with the NCI fraud so far, in their responses and lack of responses, including the wrongful dismissal against Kelly?
.
--You can see the companion postings with a transcript and more resources on the Into Integrity weblog.
.
--One of the featured quotes: “Corruption such as the NCI KB fraud does not simply go away on its own, over time, by ignoring it, or by keeping silent. All of us can and must act with integrity--the consistent, highest level of moral wholeness. And we can and must hold our organizations and leaders accountable to do the same. This petition is a key tool to help.” Shine-the Light-Together petition

Pod-Post 10--
FAST Day 27/40
Confronting Corruption in Our Midst: Principles for Courage, Integrity, and Action

In this podcast, number 10 in the Into Integrity FAST, we begin by exploring some reasons and rationalizations for
NOT dealing with corruption in our midst. Sadly, it can be all too easy to excuse the complacency and complicity and indeed the cover ups and cowardice that prop up not just corrupt acts, but a whole culture of corruption.
.
We then share some principles for fighting corruption based primarily on Rachel Denhollander’s recent interviews with MinistryWatch and Christianity Today as well as our own experiences confronting corruption. Recall that Rachel was one of the principle persons confronting sexual abuse in the USA gymnastics team. She is also actively confronting sexual abuse in the USA church. We note that these principles are also relevant to situations of corruption in churches, mission agencies, and other organizations, where whistleblowers and victims are usually vilified and verifiable accountability via independent reviews is rare.
.
--You can see the companion postings with a transcript and more resources on the Into Integrity weblog.
.
--One of the featured quotes:What happens when [the abuser] is a trusted person at this church? What happens when it’s a trusted person in these other evangelical organizations? The extent that one is willing to speak out against their own community is the bright line test for how much they care and how much they understand. We have failed abhorrently as Christians when it comes to that test." Interview with Rachel Denhollander Christianity Today (22 January 2018, bold font added)

Pod-Post 11--
FAST Day 30/40
Listening to the Spirit: "Do What He Tells You."
In this podcast, number 11 of the Into Integrity FAST, we share excerpts from three core materials which provide a good overview of NCI with documentation and good practice principles.
.
--1. The article Loving Truth and Peace, a composite case study on corruption in mission that we did influenced by our experiences in the NCI fraud;
.
--2.  The
Summary and Summons, an essential review of NCI to understand what happened and to consider what needs to be done; --3. Suggestions for Going Forward, written in the early days of confronting NCI and asking people for help, and still very relevant
.
Our prayer is that you will carefully look over these materials, listening to the Spirit.  And then follow the advice of Mary, the mother of Jesus, in her last recorded words in Scripture: ”Do whatever He tells you.” (John 2:5)
.
--You can see the companion postings with a transcript and more resources on the Into Integrity weblog.

--Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and support.

Pod-Post 13--FAST Day 35/40
Follow Me, My Beloved: "Do not fear. Shine your light."
This is episode 13 of the Into Integrity FAST. We focus on Following Jesus as children of light who courageously shine our light in the world.
.
Today is also the United Nations International Human Solidarity Day (20 December, logo above). It is a day for us all to consider how we might join in solidarity with others to help make the world a better place, locally through globally.  And likewise, it is a day in which we invite you again to join with us and others in solidarity during the Into Integrity FAST (6-26 December 2019).
.
This is a podcast permeated with prayer.  We are praying for courage, purity, and power, as we follow Jesus into dark areas, venturing through the doors that God opens for us, doing good, confronting evil, for His glory. We are praying for specific people and organizations who we believe can join together in solidarity to assist in disclosing about the NCI fraud and to right the wrongful dismissals.
Jesus says, in John 12:26: Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.
.
So come with us now in following Jesus and to seek Him together in prayer!

Pod-Post 14--FAST Day 39/40
Fearing the Lord: Corruption, Integrity, and Love.
Thank you for joining with us and many others around world during Pat Two of the Into Integrity FAST (6-26 December 2019). Today is day 39 of the 40 day Into Integrity FAST. This is our seventh and closing podcast-blogpost for Part Two of the FAST.
.
--The theme summarizes our seven podcasts-blogposts: Fearing the Lord: Learn from the Ghosts of Corruption--Live in the Light of Integrity--Love Truth, Peace, and People
.
--We share three powerful exhortations  that can inform our efforts to stand in solidarity to bring healing to the international Church Mission Community and to the specific organizations, leaders, and people affected by the international NCI fraud.
.
Exhortation: Learn from the Ghosts of Corruption. An excerpt from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story, in which Scrooge is solemnly warned by Marley’s ghost. Repent while you have time. You still have a chance to influence human matters for good.

Exhortation 2:
Live in the Light of IntegrityThe conclusion from Rand Guebert’s Professional Review about the NCI fraud, organizations/networks, and the overlapping wrongful dismissals. It is not too late to act with integrity and to seek redress both publicly and privately.

Exhortation 3.
Love Truth, Peace, and People. Two of the core Scriptures that have guided us over the past 12 years in confronting corruption and living in integrity, from Jesus the Lord and Zechariah the prophet. Fear God. Seek truth not popularity.  And love truth, peace, and people.
.
--You can see the companion postings with a transcript and more resources on the Into Integrity weblog. We also encourage you to review the blog entries on Loving Truth and Peace which are you can find on our CORE Member Care weblog.
.
